NEW Milesight Firmware for NVRs (v7x.9.0.3) and Cameras (v4x.7.0.69-r11)

It has been a long wait but we finally have new Milesight firmware.

Unfortunately, the new firmware does not bring the number of improvements & fixes that we were hoping for.

Attached are the release notes for both the cameras & NVRs, as you will see there are some new features supported by this firmware:

- Auto Tracking for the PTZ Bullet
- N+1 Hot Spare Function for the NVRs
- Support for VCA on 4K & Fisheye cameras
- Password creation required at activation - no more default password

Whilst those are great improvements, we still have some issues that need to be resolved.

We have asked Milesight for an update on what next, and when.

Hi Dan/Phil. Is there any word from Milesight as to when the next revision of firmware will be available and what will be included in it?

No firm date.
I believe that they will be focusing on better integration of their new ANPR and facial recognition cameras.
We are also of course still waiting for a no-plugin solution to enable the use of modern browsers.

A new NVR firmware has been published by Milesight. It would be nice to know what has been changed: 72.9.0.3-r3 2019.04.30
