I'm running iVMS-4200 on a Mac which gives me numerous platform-specific problems but I couldn't get downloads to work if the live view was running or even paused. I have to stop the live view before downloads will work for me.

I'm getting those emails too, and not just from China. Suddenly there's a glut of viral spam. But with state as well as private buyers now looking to place orders for Chinese cameras, it smacks of double standards. Presumably even the Trump government is looking to buy from China.

It does affect the warranty. I think they reserve the right not to issue a refund/credit for a painted camera but will still repair a faulty unit.

When I couldn't get black, I used a can of spray paint to convert a white camera to black. 10 minutes to mask up the bits I didn't want paint on and 10 seconds to paint.
