    MacOS Recording to a Mac?

I'm talking LAN as well - but as Dan pointed out, I don't have the right cameras.

    MacOS Recording to a Mac?

What magic enables you to see your cameras in a Mac web browser? I can't do that. You can record the continuous live view (without any highlighting of motion events) simply by using Quicktime Player to make a screen recording - if you have plenty of storage space.

Hikvision NVR and Onvif Motion detect

As a Reolink owner I can confirm that their products are not fully ONVIF compliant. In fact they have accreditation only for an early/basic ONVIF standard (which doesn't include motion detection) and they are, sadly, not transparent about this. Presumably they can legally claim ONVIF compliance...

Door Entry Hikvision Video Intercom Door Station

While the original indoor station would have been pointing to the IP of the gate station, you need to point subsequent indoor stations to the IP of the original/master indoor station.

Please help! I’ve no clue what I’m doing

I don't know what that is either but if it's asking for the IP address of each camera, you should be able to find those by opening up the config utility/app for your router and checking its list of attached devices. That would reveal the IP address of every device on your network, typically in...

Please help! I’ve no clue what I’m doing

I'm not your best bet as I don't know what's possible using just the app. I think you should download and install the iVMS-4200 main software client to your PC/laptop as that's the best place to configure your cameras from (it may already be installed so search for it). However, it's not very...

Please help! I’ve no clue what I’m doing

Did you select a date before searching for event records? Are date and time accurately set? Are you supposed to be recording onto a black box network video recorder - or onto SD cards installed inside the cameras? Have you updated the cameras' firmware? Have you updated the NVR firmware (if you...

FAQ Hikvision Doorbell Motion record SD card

According to this annoying and almost incomprehensible video by a knowledgeable foreign guy speaking too quickly, you can do it.

FAQ Hikvision Doorbell Motion record SD card

AFAIK, not without setting up a dedicated storage server (which is a mystifyingly stupid design by Hikvision). Try here.

Door Entry DS-KH6320-WTE1 Extension station not showing Live View

Did you try using DHCP instead of manually entering the local IP? And make sure you have sequential room numbers for the indoor station and extension.

Best way to view Hikvision cameras on lounge TV?

Connect an Android TV streaming box like the Nvidia Shield to your TV via HDMI and sideload Hik-Connect onto it. You can then view your cameras by switching AV channel on your TV or by playing the feed in PiP if your TV supports it. You'll need a cordless air mouse (or cordless keyboard with a...

How to setup pc to have cctv in picture in picture

You can also set up PIP on your TV, if it supports PIP (handy if your phone is in the kitchen)… Looking for CCTV that can cast?

How to setup pc to have cctv in picture in picture

Set up RTSP streams to your cameras so that they can be viewed in VLC and then follow this PIP guide. Alternatively, SecuritySpy can do this on a Mac. And I believe Blue Iris can do it on a PC. Only VLC is free however.

Door Entry Image vignetting Door Station KV8413-WME1(B)

My DS-KD8003-IME1 video intercom has an undocumented (and not very good) Fisheye Expansion adjustment which shows up in the drop-down menu when you click and hold on the live view video window in iVMS-4200. I don't know if the KV8413 is the same.

    Hikvision VS Reolink

@dredge if you are a PC geek and you want a superior surveillance system then choose Hikvision and buy it from use-IP who are one of the few resellers who will give you top-notch support after they've got your cash. But imho Reolink have a place in the market, especially for newbies or those on...

    Door Entry Hikvision Doorbell Questions

The DS-KB6403-WIP is a wi-fi device which communicates directly with your mobile device without any monitor or screen. It doesn't even have an RJ45 port to connect a POE switch to. The user manual tells you how to set it up.
