Have a lead on 4 cameras that “Don’t Work”....... All have ‘original’ firmware in them whatever that means... I do have latest/Last USA Version firmware)... If 2 of same model cameras that work, with same firmware, swap boards. Will they still work? In other words—are the boards interchangeable...

Actually I don’t have a NVR, just 6 loose cameras. 5 of which are 2SD2042WD-1’s. I’m sending pics to a NAS via ftp, and the stream (HiK camera doesn’t support video) converted to video and mot detects via Surveillance Station on NAS. Then the NAS runs script files to delete oldest files...

Is it possible to get a Non HikVision camera to display on iVMS-4500 viewer? just a local LAN connection needed.... I've got 5 Hikvision cameras that display fine in iVMS-4500, but would like to add one Non-HikVision camera (An older TrendNet Camera) Does a tutorial on this exist? Thanks Jan

Update on the camera. I did get one used, but not the one with frayed cables. That one just suddenly disappeared. But another like new 2042 did show up, and I bought it. Told them to keep an eye out for other one in case it turns up again.

Once I read the complete thread you linked to Phil, I see there may be at least 2 different color codes. None of the posts were concerned with ext power connection though. As, if, and when I get camera, I’ll post indicating what i find and what works. Thanks

I have been so embroiled in the NAS applications, I forgot about iVMS-4500 Lite Playing around with that now on iPhone. 3 cameras online, another used on its way, and 2 or 3 to go to complete the system transformation to all HiKvision of the same model.
