Apologies I have just noticed this is discussed on another thread and therefore this is a duplicate. I did do a search for Galaxy store beforehand and it did not come up in the search hence I posted this topic separately

Hik-Connect APP Available on Galaxy Store

Hello all. This morning I had the standard notification of updates available to me from the Samsung Galaxy Store. One of the updates was for the HIK Connect End User app. I have not installed it but it is listed as version 4.13.0.0204. Previously it was only available from HIK's own portal...

Where do I find my NVR's serial number for entering into HikConnect?

Well. I am flabbergasted and relieved. Thought I would add the NVR manually to the app. Put in the SN and bingo, got live feeds. At first was a bit dubious that it was just pulling the stream over my internal Network so turned WIFI off on my phone and amazingly I still got live feeds...

Where do I find my NVR's serial number for entering into HikConnect?

Thanks JB. It's as good call. I had let DHCP and DNS do their thing a few times. It could be the IP provider. Had issues in the past when their settings even blocked this forum to me. Nevermind. I am sure it's something simple but at the moment can't see it. Thank you for your help...

    CCTV system advice please

The NVR can be connected to a WIFI bridge or extender that is connected to your router. I have done this in past with a TP link AC1200. Sorry not sure the cam can be connected this way.

NVR recommendation for use with four DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL IP cameras?

I'd go with that, as I am using the K2 at the moment with 6 4meg cams at virtually max frame rates, etc and whilst it does the job, it's a bit sluggish at times.

Where do I find my NVR's serial number for entering into HikConnect?

I am a bit confused and once again assistance would be appreciated. I have in the past had HiK Connect working fine but now after a period of enforced offline activity need to set things up again. The advice here says to; "add your NVR to that account - using the 9-digit serial number on your...

Still receive alerts if internet is maliciously cut

Re the choice of NVR. I wouldn't bother with the K series for anything more than 8 cams. If you want up to 16 then get an I series. Re the ADSL line. Bandwidth might become an issue for you.

Thank you JB and Kyle for the confirmation. For me when I select smart playback, select line crossing, intrusion etc (in the lower left corner icons) but don't define anything with the mouse, I get no event markers on the timeline but not sure why. I can define line etc and it will populate...
