It has - I've experienced it for some time. Of course Hik won't do a damn thing about it.

I've got the same NVR but 8 of those cameras, so it's not the NVR I don't think. I really do think it's a Hikconnect issue.

I have this happen on a regular, but not frequent, basis with Hikconnect. Here's what happens: Occasionally when I ask Hikconnect to view a camera, it goes to 90% or so and then hangs, then times out. I back out of it and move on. At some point down the road it happens again with another camera...

Reboot the NVR and see if that cures it. If so I'll give you my theory on why it happens.

Can't imagine why there would be any offense. In case you haven't noticed there is not a lot of activity on this forum - like most these days. I was suggesting that rather than waiting days between responses you should read the tutorials up top. You will learn a whole lot and probably answer...

You can't wait for days for responses. The top half of this page is filled with tutorials and Q&A's. You really should spend some time reading a few because they have all your answers.

Did you tick "notify surveillance center" when you set up the events?

Did you hit the "play" button near the bottom of the live view screen? It appears that the feeds no longer automatically start streaming on live view - you have to hit "play" to get them going.

But given how awful the Hikconnect app is, you'd probably end up talking with someone on the international space station.

That doesn't really show that it's been unzipped, but I'll take your word. No idea why it's not updating other than perhaps you have the wrong firmware update file.

You're going to have to change the detection zones or re-aim the cameras. The cameras only know changes to pixels in the scene. When headlights make a sudden change in the scene it's going to trip intrusion and line crossing. The only possibility is to change the "threshold" setting to a larger...

I've commented on this problem before, as I have trouble with it on occasion too. Reboot your NVR and it will likely go away. I get that error after having "other" streaming errors. It's almost as if the NVR keeps that streaming channel open, even though it failed or timed out. Then you end up...

Anybody else having huge problems with this junk service lately? For weeks playback of event notifications has been broken. Live view, although slow, works fine. But every single playback of a notification loads to around 90% and then fails with an error message. I'm so tired of this garbage app.
