Have you used the internal ip address of the Nvr? If so this will not work once you are not connected to your local network i.e wifi.

I use chrome with internet explorer extension. IE Tab Works very well :)

Is the RJ45 a home made cable? Can you ping the camera from your pc?

I'd set the 1st DNS address the same as your router/gateway address 192.168.1.1 2nd DNS as the google 8.8.8.8 address. It may do the trick ;-)

I'm not sure you can change the camera resolution using the Nvr or iVMS-4500 . Think you have to log into the camera direct. However easiest way to test is using iVMS-4500 image quality: Select image quality > custom -> stream type - sub stream -> resolution - 4CIF(704x576) -> frame rate 6 ->...

Im struggling to understand the relationship between bitrate and image quality settings. As understand it bitrate = the amount of data processed? Surely this is the same as image quality? Could someone please explain the bitrate and image quality settings. Many thanks.

Use the Hik SADP tool to locate you nvr online. Then type the Nvr IP address in a web browser. Login will be the same as your nvr. Hikvision Europe I'll doubt the SADP tool will find your nvr though in its current state as nothing seems to be working. You could try disconnecting the hard drive...

I'd disconnect everything from the Nvr then try turning it off for a couple of minutes then back on again. Then add the devices one by one starting with the monitor.

Do I need to enable h264+ on both camera and nvr? Or just the nvr?

I have a Hik 7604 nvr and i am surprised that there is an option to select either h264 or h264+ for recording. I would of thought h264+ would be default but it is not. What benefit could there be from using h264 rather than h264+?
