HiLook App - country of origin changed to Iraq!

I haven't ever used the Hilook app, but that happens if you install Hik-connect or iVMS-4500 via the app store and try connect to your device. They are part of the same family and should connect using the same credentials.

Hik-Connect Help with iVMS-4500 or hik connect app pls

Posheda, the KNT-7404-TET DVR may be a OEM of Hikvision but details are lacking. If the cameras were working and suddenly stopped I'd guess something on your router has changed. Please confirm they were working and stopped or is this the first time you are adding them.

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

socket.error: [Errno 10013] It really sounds like something is blocking the port or the port is occupied. With your laptop's WiFi adapter disabled, connect the NVR directly from its LAN port to your laptop LAN port. Same message? If so, run cmd with admin privileges and check with netstat. Let...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Cape Town where I live is in stage 4 load shedding (cutting the power to reduce load the grid) for up to 5 hours a day. I'll do some more testing soon as we get power back on. Don't use a switch between NVR and laptop. Must be directly connected.

Hikvision PTZ smart tracking duration settings - help please

Try setting the duration to 0, which sets it to unlimited. Also check Configuration > Advanced Configuration> PTZ > Park Action - perhaps the park action is interfering or set too low.

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Make sure you have Python 2.7 64bit installed. The socket error may be related to bitness. Uninstall your current version if so. If you have the 64bit version installed make sure you have 'Add python.exe to Path' set. I'd extract Scott's tool to a separate folder on your C: drive (c:\tftppy for...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

My guess would be the firewall, Windows UAC preventing the connection or the environment path for Python is not set correctly. Which version of Windows are you running and is it 32 or 64 bit?

NVR & SADP do not support 4K displays effectively

Regarding your issue (which I suspect is separate to CliveC’s) check the following: In Chrome under settings/appearance, check your Font size and Page Zoom are set to default. Also, check your laptop isn’t set to ‘duplicate’ in the display settings. If your laptop monitor does not natively...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

I have a similar NVR to yours so I thought I'd test it. I successfully downgraded the firmware from v4.22 to v3.4.103 using Scott's tool. It did a complete reset of the NVR prompting for a new admin login at boot.

Hikvision PTZ smart tracking duration settings - help please

In the webGUI of the camera, check Configuration > Advanced Configuration> PTZ > Smart Tracking What is the duration set to?

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

It's not very difficult but a bit of a chore to configure correctly. Using TFTPServ which I believe is a updated version of Hikvision's original tool, or using something like Scott Lamb's tool (which requires Python 2.7 to work) are options. The first tool contains a guide in the zip file...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Not being able to authenticate limits the options going forward. It pretty much excludes Hikvision's Batch Configuration Tool V3.0.2.6 which is able to reset the NVR but needs a working admin credential. Give it a try anyway. You could click the 'Forgot password' option in SADP and have...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Forgot to ask you earlier - in SADP, are you able to modify the IP setting (or any setting) using the admin password that worked prior to the firmware upgrade? What error does it report when you try? Highly unlikely, but try the old default '12345' too.

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Just to make sure we go the right route please get back to me on the following: What does SADP report as the Software Version and the HTTP Port as? When you originally setup your NVR, it prompts you to save a GUID file to USB. Do you remember doing that and if so, is it still available? Sounds...

    HIKVision NVR corrupted user database

Yes, this can happen when upgrading from earlier v3 firmware to the latest v4. The recommended fix requires a factory reset to re-create the user table. Try the following. Download and install the Hikvision SADP tool. SADP should find the NVR and detail the current settings. If the device...

NVR & SADP do not support 4K displays effectively

I appreciate the feedback @fullboogie. Would you and @CliveC share some additional info, provided you are comfortable doing so. Brand and model of the 4K monitor Single or multi-monitor configuration Operating system CPU generation of the PC (i5 3470 for example) Does the PC have a dedicated...

NVR & SADP do not support 4K displays effectively

The following are suggestions or possible workarounds. Depending on the browser you are using the Hikvision Webcomponents.exe plugin is going to play a role. The latest versions of the plugin have made significant improvements leveraging HTML5. IE11 for example is lacking in HTML 5 support, FF...

FIXED: Missing notifications - G1 on firmware 5.6.x

I'm thinking out loud to a degree - so don't take the following as gospel. From what I've read, when event alerts are triggered on your camera it notifies the 'Surveillance Center', be it to the NVR, Hik-Connect or iVMS-4200 via Hikvision's websocket API. The alerts, or push notifications, are...
