    iVMS 4500 and iPad.

I hope someone is able to help me please. We have a CCTV network with some cameras and an NVR, all Hikvision iVMS4500. I am a Windows person really and so have the controls etc. all on a desltop. But we both have an iPad that I have previously downloaded the app. to them and we can see the...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Thank you for the reply. I have bought a drum of Cat5e cable and my intention is initially to put my BPS DIY scaffold tower up to the camera and, having made a Cat5e cable of sufficient length, to run it directly from my NVR, out of the house, along the exterior wall, and up to the camera. as a...

    Cable for Hikvision PTZ

Thank you for the reply. It seems that I made a mistake already insofar as I have bought a drum of Cat5e cable. My intention is initially to put my BPS DIY scaffold tower up to the camera and, having made a Cat5e cable of sufficient length, to run it directly from my NVR, out of the house, along...

    Cable for Hikvision PTZ

Could someone tell me which cable I should be using for a Hikvision DS-2DE4220IW-D 2MP external IR PTZ (12V) PTZ camera please ? I know it's a discontinued camera but it's only 5 years old. At the moment it has a "Lan Cable FTP Cat5e 100Ω" cable between the camera and the NVR. And finally, can...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Sorry but it's me again, with the same old problem but just to recap, I have a Hikvision DS-2DE4220IW-D 2MP external IR PTZ (12V) PTZ camera on my system and it started to drop out. I kept getting the "NO LINK" message on my screen and after fiddling around with a connector on the ethernet cable...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Thank you. I don't know why but I am favouring the crimping method using "thru" RJ45 connectors at the moment. Commscope and similar couplers look much eeasier to use but are the actual connections as good as the crimping method (always assuming that it is done correctly of course) ?

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Thank you but could you tell me how the individual wires are connected securely inside the connector please ? Do you need sme kind of "push down tool" or something like that ?

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Thank you for the video link. The PTZis still working this morning and so I am pretty sure I am going to buy the connector kit. With regards to the combine I am 76 years old next month and I don't have a combine any more, just a smallholding where I can play with my toys ! But for a while I did...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Apologies for the late reply but thank you very much for that. Today I bought a very cheap cable tester from Toolstation and together with a jack lead I think I have discovered that one of the cable ends that goes into one of the connectors has a faulty plug. Having said that, and as a last...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Thank you so much, I didn't expect this much help for what must have been a pretty stupid question. But there has been a development ! I suddenly remembered that I have the same type of connectors on the cables in the office here where the CCTV installers had joined up to the cables laid by the...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Wow, that was a quick reply. Thank you very much indeed. Yes, the plugs do come out of the coupler but I thought that maybe there might be something wrong with the actual plugs themselves. In the image the black cable comes from the camera and the grey cable was put in when the builders built...

Basic question if I may - replacing a network cable RJ45 connector?

Hello, I am reasonably proficient in mechanical things but I have an annoying problem with a PTZ camera and I need some very basic help if possible please. Firstly, let me say that there is nothing wrong with the camera itself, when I can get it to work it works well. I am convinced that it is a...

Connecting Hikvision NVR and EE Bright Box1 router.

Damn. Typo in the last content from me. The video shows me trying to install iVMS-4200 and not, as typed, iVMS-4500. I have placed the video link on a new line but that doesn't work. I have tried the Insert Link and Insert Media options as shown above and they don't work either and when you got...

Connecting Hikvision NVR and EE Bright Box1 router.

Sorry, it's me again. All haymaking finished here so I'm back to this problem again. Please feel free to ignore it if you wish - I will understand. This afternoon I made a crude video of a screen recording of downloading the iVMS-4500 and have put it on YouTube. I know I must be doing something...

Connecting Hikvision NVR and EE Bright Box1 router.

It is in Warwickshire and what is left on the hedge is quite a lot of hay that the tornado had picked up that we are in the process of making in one of our fields and then dragged it over the hedge into the next field.

Connecting Hikvision NVR and EE Bright Box1 router.

O.K. Thank you for that. A bit bogged down with work here at the moment and trying to get it all done before the weather breaks. And this happened today which is a bad sign if you're trying to make hay. Sorry about the quality but my PTZ just caught it in the top right hand corner and I had to...
