It looks like you can see daylight in the background. If there was a camera would this not be blocking the light coming through?

Some people have mentioned changing your phones time from am/pm to 24 hour or the other way round solved it. But didnt work for me. I still get intermittent "Failed to search video".

I'd definately use what you've got which is an NVR hooked up by ethernet. You can then access the NVR from any laptop or device on your network. If it has to be the TV, then stick a small PC to it or any device that has a web browser.

Although analogue may be simpler in your opinion, it is old technology and gives you no upgrade options if later on you wish to change anything. You will get much better quality using IP cameras that support much better resolutions.

The extra routers should just be acting as additional access points. The main router will be sending out the dhcp addresses so reguarless where you plug into on any of the routers they will all get an IP on the same network.

Be careful with the LED lighting as this could cause big white out areas appearing on your cameras feed. Best bet would be to install the cameras first and see how they perform (as they will have built in Night LEDS anyway) and then change things as necessary.

Can you not just have a cable from the NVR to the camera? The NVR will be providing POE so just one cable to the camera. As long as under 100 metres length from NVR to camera.

Happens to me too. Although not all the time. This morning for example all my notifications I've been able to watch fine.

Does this still happen if you connect the affected camera to another port on the NVR?

Hik-Connect Really easy to use. Only issue I have found with it on the iPhone is that the badge notificiations dont seem to clear. The notifications number just keep mounting up.
