Trying to send ANPR images to a local FTP server fails?

@AdamB I have one of these same cameras and no problems sending test or images using FTP (vsftpd too in my case) although I have not tried anonymous, I always use a user/password even though it's local. Perhaps a silly question but you have pre-created the "anpr" directory? e.g. that dir...

Remote support to optimise my Hikvision system and cameras?

I have a fair bit of experience with Hikvision ANPR and I have found it best to only set the camera to auto-focus temporarily when setting it up (in daylight hours) so it focuses and then set it back to manual focus. If you keep it on auto or semi-auto you can get the issues you reported - e.g...

iVMS-4200 iVMS-4200 any way to have multiple main views / windows?

I did not know that feature existed, that is pretty much what I was after, thanks. BUT although it seems it would work with another monitor connected to the same PC (you could drag the second window to another monitor), I wanted to move the second window to another windows virtual desktop...

iVMS-4200 iVMS-4200 any way to have multiple main views / windows?

Since I posted this I have done some experimenting. I have not (yet) found a simple bit of software for Windows to run alongside iVMS-4200 but on the main desk where the Windows/iVMS PC is there is another Ubuntu Linux PC with monitors so I found and downloaded cctv-viewer from the Snap store...

iVMS-4200 iVMS-4200 any way to have multiple main views / windows?

Is there is any way in iVMS-4200 to have 2 main views running concurrently? e.g. a main view 1 on one screen/workspace and a main view 2 on another screen/workspace. If not, is there any way to achieve this? Perhaps using another bit of HikVision software running alongside iVMS-4200 to provide...

The monitor connected to my DS-7208hqhi-F1 displays no image?

Have you tried both the HDMI output and the VGA output? It's got to be a problem with either monitor, cable or recorder. Try swapping those to determine which.

Missing camera reset button - any other way to reset?

Thanks for the info @Dan After your post I thought if the camera was destined for the bin I had nothing to lose opening it up and trying to short the switch solder contacts with a paperclip while powering up to emulate the reset switch and it eventually worked! Not recommended but anyway...

Missing camera reset button - any other way to reset?

I have a camera (DS-2CD2345FWD-I) where the reset button has been broken off the circuit board. And I don't know the current camera password. Is there any way to reset it? I bought a HikVision NVR and 9 HikVision cameras second hand. Previous owner did not know passwords but between us we did...

DS-7208HUHI-K2/P DVR - I seem to be able to set-up line crossing for all 5 cameras but only camera 1 allows intrusion?

I suggest you edit your original question with more information - e.g. which region you are in, what firmware version are all your cameras, where/how have you tried to configure them - direct via camera web interface? via NVR? via iVMS?

    Suspected Bricked - DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZHS

Are you in the UK or another region? This may or may not be of any use but regarding firmware... I have 2 of these cameras: DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZSWG/P Both are R3 firmware type and both are running V5.4.5 build 170731 and over the years I have never been able to find an updated...

I updated NVR firmware and it sent ANPR camera into boot-loop! (DS-7616NI-K2 to V4.71.005 build 220524)

I updated the firmware on one of my NVRs DS-7616NI-K2 from V4.31.105 build 210727 to V4.71.005 build 220524 Firmware from the UK portal here. NVR seems fine but straight away one of my ANPR cameras went into constant boot loop. All cameras are connected via network NOT direct to NVR...

Hikvision dvr - I have lost the pictures from the internal monitor?

@dodge one of my NVRs has started periodically losing the monitor image, I don't know if it's related or same issue as you have as my monitor does not show image for a few seconds, it just goes black/no signal, and the only way I have found to solve the issue is to unplug the HDMI cable on the...

NVR recently losing HDMI signal every few days (DS-7616NI-K2 / 16P)

I have a DS-7616NI-K2 / 16P NVR working fine for years but now recently the monitor loses the HDMI signal every few days. Unplugging the HDMI on the monitor end and re-plugging it just activates monitor, but get a "no signal" error and monitor then goes to standby/sleep again. Same thing if I...

    Hikvision cameras go offline regularly?

When you say go offline - do you mean they are not visible on the NVR itself as well as being not visible on network, or do you mean you can still see them on the NVR native interface but they are not visible on the network? Could be intermittent faulty PoE power in the NVR itself. I have not...

    Hik-Connect Hik app on phone

If you are using a local IP address for direct (e.g. your NVR IP address) for IP/Domain in the Hik app - it will never work outside of your local WiFi. If it "worked" before on an old NVR then it was either configured correctly with NAT or port forwarding or more likely you were probably...

    Hik-Connect Hik app on phone

    1) Is the new NVR on the same (internal/local) IP address as the old one? 2) Is the IP address configured in Hik app your public facing IP address (NOT a local IP address)? 3) Have you opened the relevant port or configured port forwarding on your router? 4) Is the IP domain config in Hik app...

Video recording degrades when there is motion?

You have not given any information about the model of NVR/cameras but this sounds like it could be the video quality settings for the "Main Stream (Event)" are set low and the "Main Stream (Continuous)" are set correctly. Go to your actual NVR native interface (not the camera web interface and...

HIKVISION DS-9632NI-H8 No Access to Console

Only thing I can think of is that a lot of NVRs have both VGA and HDMI monitor outputs. And you can choose to have the console menus displayed on VGA OR HDMI (and sometimes there is an "Auto" option). So maybe you have your monitor connected to HDMI but the menus are being output to the VGA (or...

Help as a consumer regards ANPR

I would first log on to an ANPR camera web interface by going to the camera IP address in your web browser. Although how you do this will depend on if your cameras are plugged into the PoE ports on your NVR or connected via other switches/network. Once logged in to the web interface go to the...
