Hmmm - user error then. Is advertised on ADI-Global website (from where we purchased it) as
Mini PTZ 4mp 10x 2.8mm
In the Hikvision data sheet it says it has a 16x digital zoom so I figured it should be possible to zoom in and out.
Thanks for taking the time to decipher the data
Evening
We are just setting this new mini PTZ up. We added it to the NVR without an issue, picture is good and it pans AOK (love the facility to click somewhere in the picture and the camera immediately tracks there, very cool)
So, the problem is the camera will not respond to zoom controls, or...
SUCCESSFUL TRANSFER - Just in case anyone is faced with a similar situation this is what I did:
Old network 192.168.0.*** New Network 192.168.1.***
Connecting to the old network I used SADP to change all the camera IPs to IPs on the new network range.
I plugged the Hikvision NVR into the new...
Good Afternoon David
Thanks for taking the time to set out the information in the reply.
My initial idea was to connect to the old router, on the old gateway, so that I could access all the cameras and change their IP addresses (192.168.0.***) to addresses that will be in the new router range...
Good Afternoon David - thanks for replying and refreshing your memory from our earlier exchanges. Yes this is the same CCTV system, we sort of got to the bottom of the 'stuttering' issue - the NVR, although described as an 8 channel NVR, we fell into the trap of not reading the 'small print' and...
I have an already installed TPLink CPE 210 point to point bridge that has been running forma couple of years for a CCTV system with 5 remote cameras linked back to the NVR via the Pt to Pt bridge - which was configured to the then existing network (pre fibre) , but now fibre has been installed...
Good Morning David
Once again thank you for the input - I am learning lots! We will be on site again next week so will see what we can do with the alignment
Yes I know that - we have the same NVR here at home and we have some directly plugged into the NVR and they are on the 192.168.254.* subnet - we have other cameras on the home LAN which are then connected to the NVR via the home LAN so they have the home router network IP's
No idea.....I'm...
The situation we have with this system is that the 5 cameras are at a remote location. They are connected to an 8 way POE switcher. The switcher is then connected to the remote TPLink station, the 'air bridge' then goes to the Base location, the TPLink is connected to the router and the NVR is...
AFAIK the router only has general internet usage loading other than the CCTV system
Antenna LoS is uninterrupted, there are some trees on the periphery, but no buildings or other structures. Certainly when monitoring the TPLink stats over time there doesn't seem to be any wavering of the signal...
I'm back! Sorry for the delay - argument with a drill resulted in a left arm injury so have been 'offline' for a bit.
So - the issue has become slightly clearer.
When the cameras are all set to a lower resolution (1920 x 1080) then live viewing and playback is fine. However yesterday I...
Good Evening David - thanks for the pointers. I did some troubleshooting on the cameras and NVR this morning. Viewing the cameras and playback recordings direct from the NVR, not using the router, showed that the video data seemed to be reaching the NVR and recording smoothly.
I had reduced the...
