Are you on exactly the same version as me? I’ve had RTSP break on one of the later V4.21 versions on another NVR but that time it was the other way around (trying to add an RTSP stream as a camera). The very next firmware version fixed it.
If you have it working with the same version, then I’ll...
Can someone with V5 firmware on their M-Series NVR try to connect to one of the camera RTSP streams?
I gave RTSP enabled the default port 554, and stream encryption disabled, but no stream will play. I'm using VLC and have tried both rtsp://mynvrip/Streaming/channels/102 (for the h264 substream...
Yeah, I’m aware it’s never worked from the OSD settings (because as you point out, it can’t communicate back to the “camera”), but none the less the NVR still allocates a name to the stream e.g. IPC Camera 01, and surely it should be possible to change that. I thought you could via the local...
Same as it’s always been then, i.e. broken. Mad that in major version 5 of the interface, there’s still no option to simply name the channels within the channel/camera settings.
This isn't UI V5 specific though is it? I'm still running V4.63.025 and the timeline takes an age to load now in the Hik-Connect app if there are "filterable" events recorded.
You can't. Sadly, the iPad version seems to just be a lazy copy of the landscape interface from the iPhone version, which also means you therefore can't access any function that only shows up in the iPhone portrait interface, such as the playback timeline filters - a pretty major new feature...
So, not fixed then. That's a shame because I was hoping that V5 would fix 3rd-party RTSP/Onvif streams not working for me on V4.63.020, but it looks as though I should stick with V4 since at least the basics work on that!
Edit: actually I found I had a copy of V4.63.025 and that fixed RTSP, so...
Unlike Hikvision, UniFi protect adds new features (that actually work!) to their Protect platform on a seemingly monthly basis. It’s a shame their platform is so closed (no 3rd party camera support at all) and the Pro cameras are so expensive. There’s no doubt in my mind also that the picture...
At the bottom of the product page for my DS-7608NI-M2/8P on hikvision.com:
Firmware_V5.02.000_240229
" For better user experience, we highly recommend you to update your device to the latest firmware asap."
Bit of a joke really.
Is it ok to install the versions of firmware from that link on our UK devices? For example, the international Hikvison website lists version
Firmware_V4.63.025_231201 for a DS-7608NI-M2/8P, whereas the Hikvision UK Portal still only has NVR_K21B1_BL_ML_STD_V4.61.420_230217.zip which is what...
Click on "Device Management", then click the little Gear Cog that should be present under "Operation".
From there you should be able to change the time settings thus:
Also, post a screenshot here of your "Device Management" page.
