Hi,
I currently have my 6 Hikvision cameras plugged directly into the POE ports on my Hikvision K series NVR. I'm planning to move these cameras to a separate POE switch so I can move the NVR location.
I prep for this I installed SADP tool and ran it but it doesn't find anything. I wouldn't...
I have what is probably a very stupid question. This used to be working and I'm not sure how I broke it.
Scenario:
1. K-Series NVR on latest firmware with 8 G1 POE cameras directly connected to it
2. I'm logged into the NVR via IEhelper tab in Chrome
3. The local web components are installed...
Thanks Dan! One other quick question. Here in UK I'm on this model and firmware:
DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P
V4.32.115 build 211129
Is there a newer build? The NL download portal seems to have a 4.71 drop...
I have a Hikvision NVR (K8 model) with 6 cameras attached to the back of it via POE.
Since the NVR is so loud I want to move the NVR up to my home office which is connected to my main network via 1 Gigabit Ethernet. That office have my main PC, Wifi AP, and Synology NAS.
Network topology wise...
Why are there two new builds released on same day with one having a higher build number? Seems very strange. I'm still on V4.21.005 build 190509 because I need to first downgrade it seems and re-set everything up... No time to do that unfortunately until Xmas hols!
Thanks Dan - good tip on the 10 min segments I've mad that change now for the future! On the IE playback screen the clip tool now works I thought I could click, scrub video to new time, clip again but I realize now I have to click "clip" then just let it play to the point I want then click...
Am I missing something here? It seems incredibly complex to get a simple clip off my K Series NVR (running v4).
I log in using IE (running IE in admin privs) and choose Playback. I select the camera i want then "download" icon towards bottom right of screen. A dialog pops up and I select the...
Ubiquiti are a huge brand in small/medium business market (and higher end home market). They make excellent gear with a management interface that spans across their APs/routers/switches so it makes VLANs etc easy to manage along with data usage reporting/management etc.
The 38W I see above is...
Thanks - I checked and I seem to hover about 38W with the 6 cameras running (This is at night so IR lights lit as well).... Is that enough wiggle room with a 42W POE switch budget?
I am thinking of getting a 16 port switch (UniFi Switch Lite 16 PoE).
I currently have 6 x G1 Cameras directly connected to the NVR.
From the G1 spec sheet I see the max power is 9W over POE.
While each POE port can provide 30W the total POE budget for the switch is 45W.... Is this viable or...
I've been runnning 4.21.005 since it came out without any issues.
Mantonl - thanks for all the feedback good to read!
Given I am going to lose all settings anyway I wonder if I can just go from 4.21.005 to 4.30.005 and then do a factory reset as you have done and save myself some steps?
