Morning,
Has anyone tried connecting Dahua analog cameras to a Hikvision eDVR. (DS-E08HGHI-D)
I installed a Dahua analog system for a site (due a budget) and I am not happy with the Dahua analytics, it's really not worth it.
Anyways, I was trying to handle this problem by installing a...
Thanks Kyle & uvs-300
I messed around with this Gmail thing and could not get it too work. I am sure I was f*cking something up on the settings.
Anyways, I ended up using Outlook and worked perfectly fine. Seems to be more simple. Thanks
Morning,
Trying to set-up a Hikvision NVR to forward smart events through to an email.
I am trying to these settings on the Advanced settings tab email.
I am struggling to set this up with Gmail. I know someone mentioned you have to make changes to the Gmail for it to work.
Can someone share...
Morning,
This post is in connection with the latest version of IVMS-4200 that you can currently download from the Hikvision Web page.
I just want to note, it looks like Hikvision "fixed their bug" in connection with how many cameras you can add to IVMS-4200.
Currently I have 469 cameras...
Hikvision "Target Capture"
Hi does anyone know what series of cameras work with the Target Capture tab on the NVR. And what is the benefit of this, i.e. if the cameras are expensive is it worth the cost type of thing.
Hikvision NVR Model:
DS-7732NXI-I4/S
Sorry for the poor picture.
Hikvision "Self-Learning"
Hi does anyone know exactly how to use the "self learning tab" to get the best use out of it.
Hikvision NVR Model:
DS-7732NXI-I4/S
Sorry for the poor pictures.
Thanks JB1970 your a beast. Someone give that man some more points!
I have been doing some more testing on this, it seems to set the human detection on basic events under motion is more effective in connection with reducing false alarms then using smart events.
Technically, you can still...
Hello Everyone,
This post is on the subject of Hikvision AcuSense.
I was recently chatting to someone in Hikvision and I asked him what his personal opinion was about Motion 2.0 vs AcuSense technology in connection with reducing false alarms.
He mentioned AcuSense is superior to Motion 2.0...
Analog vs IP
I wanted to comment on an analog camera system vs IP.
I generally much prefer IP than analog.
However, where analog might come in handy. If one has a limited budget and a large building/property to cover going analog might be an option.
1. Analog is cheaper than IP.
2. But more...
I just want to comment something in connection with Dahua vs HikVision in connection with their desktop software and the use.
HikVision IVMS-4200 - In the main we use HikVision and currently running over 400 cameras on the system which still works well using smart events to monitor different...
Hello,
I have a control room which I operate and mainly use IVMS-4200 to view the triggered alarms from smart events etc.
In order to reduce false alarms I have been using Motion 2.0 on the Acusense NVR/DVRs.
But, even with Motion 2.0, there are some false alarms that come up every so often...
Hello,
Super random question.
As everyone knows, sometimes cameras get fried by lightning storms and when its past the warranty date there's not much options left other than to throw the camera away.
Does anyone know if IP cameras that are fried by lightning can be fixed in someway, i.e. a...
Hello,

Despite trying to do this on different type of NVRS, Cameras that I have connected to my Hik-Connect each time is says connection failed.
Anyone else had any luck with this by chance?
I am...
